Hello Morton,
I have 2003, 35.7KT few months ago lost all boom hydraulics, can't remember if steering still worked as experienced mechanic i called told me not to run the engine, turned out to be a collapsed bearing in the engine timing house where the drive to the main hydraulic pump is taken...
Thanks Tim G, will probably be sticking with Mecmar, current machine has served me faultlessly for many years and the importer for the Mecmar is based fairly close to me, soon time to move onto a electric drive version with some automation to make the job a bit easier,
Mr Madden is not far...
Hello Tim G,
This threads got me looking into everyone's claims, i see Master have 2 different 20 tonne driers, one of them over one tonne lighter than the other, Maybe Mr Madden is mixing his machine up with the lighter version, clearly some metal work is missing from the lighter version, not...
Hello again, is the moisture meter the one manufactured by RDS, same as what Mecmar and Master offer, I spoke to a chap from RDS a while ago and was told it could only act as a guide when fitted to grain driers as getting a consistent environment for a reliable test was almost impossible on a...
Hello Mr Madden, Your drier looks almost identical in design to a Master drier, your working components if correct are sourced from quality manufacturers, based on those facts if your machine is cheaper than the Master i will have a good look at it, if i can benefit from cheaper manufacturing...
blimmey, had a mobile drier for 15 years and never had crap under it as deep as that, maybe our crops are a lot cleaner than some or we clean up more regularly
Forget what Master told you about them PVC covers, i know 3 guys that have fitted them to their Mecmar driers and they love em, none would go back to a outside mobile drier with out one, I can put you in touch with all of them if you want to ask them directly for their thoughts.
Some good advice there, shed cover is great for keeping the hopper and drier dry but you must let the drier and tractor work in fresh air, not drawing dust and the steam back in the open well ventilated shed is great, ourdrier is under an open sided Dutch barn with lots of headroom and open...
I think i'll stick with my current machine, the thought of no grain recirculating while loading worries me, 28 tonne of wet wheat sat in the silo while the drier fills then opening a slide when full and asking it to start to flow, !!!! i'd rather have the wet grain constantly moving in the silo...
all the other manufacturers seem to quote almost identical drying times, 5 % reduction in moisture in an hour on feed wheat, burner time, what time will the agrex do it in then, ? do you have galvanised version like the others offer ?
My Mecmar drier has no internal slides to adjust for wet/dry grain, it uses vari pitch augers flights to prevent blockage with very wet stuff, we never had it blocked and it's done some high 20% wheat ok, does your slide adjuster mean the agrex will dry faster (cheaper) than my current drier ?
