I got quotes too and tempted swap both the 4m Avatar and 3m Sprinter.
The weight transfer system is on the Avatar SL I think. On my undulating fields I guess a hydraulic top link in float would be necessary, so the tines must seek into the ground.
A demo would be ideal.
Hi
I think there is a tube of some sorts thats gives the levelling signal to the system. Was told this could play up and maybe the place to start looking.
Never had any problems with mine though...
I did put it on with the Vaderstad Box drill. Lowered it just so the metering wheel would spin. It worked fairly well I guess.
The only problem is lack of moisture. We had maybe 10mm of rain. I cant see anything growing.
This year is worse than 2018 I think. I estimate an average yield about...
Thanks for all the inputs. Since I don't own a small seed spreader I will borrow my friends Vaderstad Rapid box drill with a small seed box on the back. I guess the back tyres will push the seed a bit into the ground. Think I can run it without the seed boots in the ground.
Worried the avatar...
Hi
This 6 row is early, but yields quite well. We had a very late spring this year. I think 6 row is a touch better on less ideal soils compared to 2 row?
We also have later 6 row varieties which yields about the same as 2 row.
Yes, its just for feed.
Hello
I want to establish clover in a field with early stage 6 row spring barley which I drilled with the Avatar.
What is the best option here? My regen agronomist suggested I should try to drill in between the rows. I did drill with gps, but my ground is hilly so I dont think it would work...
I was quoted 420USD FOB china. Problem is though, the urea I was quoted contains 0.89% biuret. Here in Norway you are not allowed to import urea containing more than 0.5% biuret.
I think they can fit about 15 tons in a 20ft'er. I'll test one load I think, if the price is right. Over here they charge about 1000£ a ton. Its crazy.
