I’ve got sim cross aswell and get on well with them too, put back to a lim, all my cows started off as shorthorns and stayed that way for many years and then we started losing quite a few to TB and so started keeping more of the lim cross back to bull, could do with getting another shorthorn...

Great cows, ours live out all year and the calves all come a consistent red put back to a lim! I would just make sure that you use an easy calving bull on the first x heifers for atleast the first calving, I’ve just had some bad luck calving a bunch of heifers to a new bull that’s been throwing...
