    Road runs?

Re the driving like idiots, A few years ago, I was in Stang forrest stood waiting to see some veteran ( pre 1915) motorcycles go up the Stang. A tractor run was in progress and quite honestly, I couldn't believe the stupidity of many of the tractor drivers. They were having a 'who's got the...

The wheels are all the same fitting. Mine has the wrong stubs, they are off a car or pickup.

    Fordson N help required please

We are talking about iron wheels ( the ones with no tyres). The ones with tyres have 4 spokes, the ones without have 5

    Fordson N help required please

Thankyou Sir, that was the answer I needed. My guess is that my stub axles are Ford Pilot, or Ford pickup truck. It's case closed now, but I am looking for a set of stubs! Do you have a spare set?

    Fordson N help required please

What I am trying to find, is someone who can actually answer my question. Are my wheels wrong or are my stub axles wrong? I think it is the stubs that are wrong but I need someone who actually owns one to check my measurements.

Possibly Pete, but of course, you see loads of different style of wheel on them, they have bits of green pent on them too. The guy said they came off a wartime N, which is what mine is, so really, I'm looking for confirmation of what length my stub axles should be. As an edit, I've looked at...

    Fordson N help required please

The measurement shows the length of the stub axle. I'm sorry, but I thought that was pretty obvious, given that the ruler is beside it. I believe the wheels are N, but dont know for sure. It's evident that something isn't right. The stub axle is too short for the wheel, but which bit is wrong...

    Fordson N help required please

Good morning chaps ( and chapesses), This is really a one for the Fordson N group, but the Facebook forum is practically unusable now, so here goes. I've got some iron wheels for the front of my N to replace non standard artillery wheels, but they don't fit. First person to tell me which bit...

WHY is the 23c engine a bad starter?

They started ok I believe. Never had one, but noone complains about them. So, the difference then? ( yes, I can count cylinders) Are they higher compression than the 4 cylinder?

WHY is the 23c engine a bad starter?

That's it then, heaters being the difference. It surprised me that Majors are direct injection, given their age. If all of the competition was direct injection, it stands to reason that a 23c was never going to start as good. I guess the 3cyl 35 engines were direct injection too?
