Depends how any safety switches are connected (likely into the kill switch circuit) could be that it's a safety switch at fault not the kill switch (I don't know what lawnmower it is but does it have switch in the seat one linked to the bag if fitted etc?
Without enough air pressure there is what you could describe as an in-between point where the brakes are on and you need to wait for more air pressure to let them off BUT it's not the same as hgv system. Hgv brakes are spring applied and rely on air pressure in the brake chambers to push against...

I think the one you mean usually burns the paint off the casting when it's knackered which would seem to be a possibility when the op mentioned a burning smell.
Trouble is bio content is hygroscopic so even when using it fairly quickly theres a fair chance that over time you'll get issues. The other thing to note is that as it absorbs and carries water it takes it right through the fuel system on vehicles/machinery it doesn't even separate in sediment...
You'll soon tire of a pair of alloy ramps you have to man handle that I do know. The issue with a flat trailer rather than beavertail is the extra length needed on the ramps to keep a nice angle for driving up means they are a long way up in the air when folded up unless you can get a trailer...
That's an absolute maximum figure for fuel use though when the engine is at it's absolute peak output and being nearly 1.5 litre bigger engine it will be a higher figure. I'd doubt you'll be running it that hard all day, if so buy a bigger hoss
Polypipe used to be the best twinwall pipe by a mile imo (provided it was blue inside) but I've not used any for a long time so don't know if it's still the same quality.
There are bs numbers or specs but they are just a minimum requirement. There did used to be two specs of twinwall from some manufacturers but not sure if there is now. Tbh most makes look fairly similar now.
