    Setting tramlines with Trimble XCN-1050

There is probably a technical way, I'm only basic, but I set the headland on the counter following line, so drive up recording and then next time it's saved. Then to get the next one, I would drive up using a A to B line, save it and then everything else should be saved going across at your pre...

    Shotgun Certificate reminders ?

I got a reminder, North Yorkshire based. As others have mentioned, I had already applied for the renewal. Doctors note took a fortnight and you cannot do anything without that here, Officer called a week later and visited security, checked serial numbers, asked several open questions around...

    Arable silage or whole crop

I've always gone with wheat when the ears are just past milky and going creamy. Not whole cropped spring barley before but assume similar would be ok

How was Broadway Star performed on Brome this year?

Been more like a growth reg here, where its been used you can't see brome until you walk the crop, then it's there but lower than the crop Canopy.

    Red Tractor Portal

Personally I used it this year and found it good, a few days adding all docs etc but once done thats it. My inspector went through it all before hand, arrived looked round both farms a few quick questions and done for lunchtime, easy. But then speaking to neighbours, who uploaded it all...

New Varieties Of Wheat And Barley - What's Looking Decent?

Second year on extase and it's looking great up here very rapid growth once it sets off. Trying Dawson, tillered well and looks promising, shorter than anticipated but growing away now. Graham looks OK, but that's all, a lot dirtier than previous years. Gravity is fine, slow to get going but...

    Spring drilling 2023

Managed to grab a couple of very long days last week and got oats and beans in, did spring barley end of February. Barleys emerged now and looks better than expected, with having far too much rain since drilling. Still have 120ac spring beans to get in for neighbouring farms, fingers crossed...

    Univoq or Revystar

You have to register the complaint and have evidence you bought it last season, details on link below. https://www.corteva.co.uk/tools-and-advice/stewardship/inatreq-offer.html

    Univoq or Revystar

On paper univoq gets the vote, but I had issues after using it last season and DO NOT want to go through that again. The £200 in my eyes is admitting there was an issue, the feedback I got was very much pointing the blame with me, very unprofessional in deed especially as I was at 200l/ha...

    Moles

A bit random but when I'm struggling with trapping, I put pepper in the runs where I don't trap, apparently the moles don't like it and go to the runs where there is no pepper, just traps. Seems to work for me. On scissor traps, sometimes put two back to back.

    Flea beetle lava in osr

Watch it I'd say, it's only February so plenty of time to put something else in. The ground is slowly rising in temp and days are getting longer so the crops will grow be growing again I can find csfb larval in our crops but once it grows it should get away from them, come harvest you will see...

    Grain Stirrers

We have 2 Danagri stirrers, fitted in store, a bit fiddly to fit but once in have been faultless. Easy to operate, do a good job. We have a mobile hand stirrer, no idea on the make but it's time consuming and takes some getting to top of stores and only stirs the top. We got them on grant...
