Old McDonald

I had to claw my way into farming, but was determined to do so. By spending a total of 27 years behind desks over 40 years, I managed to hang in, and have owned my own bit of the planet in England, Australia, Scotland and Portugal. I might have one more country left in me before I call it a day and retire to somewhere in Scotland.

I have grown a wide variety of crops and kept most farm livestock at some stage. I gave up attempting to become rich a very long time ago and life has still been very enjoyable. I recommend others to take the same approach. I even wrote a book about it. I have sold a miniscule number because most folks take the opposite view and want to have money. Their loss.

I retired on 22 May 2021.
