    Reseeding technique

Give your discs a go I would run at a angle to your tramlines. I think it will level any ruts.

    Running an Opico grain drier

We had a electric fence post sharpened to a fine point for this purpose. Ours always took a fair bit of effort to get going every season but once it is was trouble free generally. As long as that big belt underneath, driving the main auger, didn't go !

A Novice and his Aitchison Grassfarmer.

Just about to replace the points on our drill, for the first time since we bought it in 2020, they are well worn. The roll pins holding them on come out a lot easier than I expected The new points have a 10mm hole , the tines an 8 mm. will they stop on , maybe they have changed the design...

The real cost of Milk Haulage ?

Always a nice surprise when a few words from wasted years pop up in a thread. Seem to read them, in my head, in his own voice, which was very recognisable As I am sure anyone who knew him will do the same.

    Knapsack Sprayer

Anyone used any Micron sprayers low volume products Do a fair bit of spot spraying and carrying less water is appealing. Do remember my father misting cattle with fly spray back in the 70's with a spinning disc type thing on a pole Using us hold them up in a corner, probably using...

    Summer Kale

If it's in the ground long enough I would go for some Maris Kestrel Kale, next any Hybrid Brassica, down to the cheapest forage rape you can buy if you can not get it sown early enough for the time your wanting to feed it. Direct drilling or even broadcasting and harrowing would leave the ground...

    Tow and Fert

A few questions if you don't mind? Quite interested in this. Are you using a trailed or mounted sprayer ? Grade of fertilizer , bought ready mixed ? Would you call it foliar low rate N , or using a similar rate to solid on bare ground.
