“Well down here my supplier, they use 1 tanker for red/kero and other tanker for white/petrol”
I’ve never heard of that before for that reason as it must have logistical issues, not that I’m saying it doesn’t happen. I would think it will be more to do with the different vehicles not being able...
I always enjoy these type of topics on here as it’s interesting to see everyone’s different prospectives.
I will agree that in certain situations flashing lights can be very blinding and unnecessary when you’re stuck behind them on single carriageway roads trundling along for a good way...
Oh I don’t know. In a previous life I used to deliver a lot of fresh produce from places like Southampton and Dover docks and also Paddock Wood direct to a lot of the Scottish RDC’s.
And that was often after little sleep as you spent hours running around the dock off tachograph going to various...
It is but both BP and Shell still have their own dedicated fleets that don’t cross contracts, obviously run by Hoyer. That’s unfortunately what white fleet was invented for to go anywhere that’s needed at a much reduced cost and wage for the drivers.
If the garage can’t take a full delivery you normally have a split load between 2 different sites. Only on rare occasions do you ever take half a trailer load out. At the end of the day it’s not a very efficient way to run a transport business so they do try, and normally succeed, to have you...
The garage I delivered too last night had no fuel, all the pumps were closed. But they had around 5000lts or so in one of the tanks purely for the emergency service’s to use. Although the bloke working there broke the rules a little by allowing a midwife to fuel up.
Good on him👍
As someone who delivers this stuff for a living I have found it quite interesting listening to all the different opinions on what’s caused this and why.
Firstly there is no fuel shortage or supply issue, there are, however, a shortage of people willing to work for certain companies though. It’s...
Yep my wife was exactly the same. She even blubbed like a goodun towards the end of the game in a particularly sad moment, much to the kids disgust!!
it’s one of the best games I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing, I hope they do another that’s just as gripping.
I converted an old and rather tired old shape Iveco Daily into a camper van years ago and was just going to take the cheap second hand caravan bits out of it and scrap it when we were upgrading to a newer van.
I was persuaded to stick it on eBay by the wife just to see if anyone wanted it but...
It always makes me wonder why so many on here seem to have a thing against having 2 beacons on their tractors. As far as I’m concerned, the more visible you are, the safer you are. I don’t think people realise how vulnerable they are travelling down a fast road in a slow vehicle with one...
All of these comments suggesting people who have the right of way on the main road should stop when they see a very slow moving vehicle nudging their way out of a field is rather amusing. It is the operator of the vehicle wanting to join the road that has the responsibility of making sure he can...
