I saw it on my news feed the other day didn't pay it mutch attention as I thought it was a photo shopped joke was only when I saw it was a society post made me glad I am not fashionable
I start of getting my dogs to catch lambs when out lambing then move on to ewes later all I do is try to catch the lamb or ewe and just keep saying catch They usual get the idea have one dog that I don't have to say catch he just seams to know
Have had him on his own a bit usual take pups with me all time ( they don't learn anything in there beds ) then when they start showing more move to training field on there own usual works fine just not this time yet , he dose know his stand and stay commands and is god on a lead so knows...
He is pure came from a lass in Brecon mother was called izey I think had a video of her working think she was imported from nz , he sort of runs out after other dogs then dose runs throw sheep but isn't really working them is more wanting to play with other dogs really
As a above really have a 14 mounts old dog he dosnt really look at sheep and can't really get him to speak on command he dose bark in pick up, have tryed working him with my kelpie ( can get her to bark on command ) but all he want to do is shag her and my other collies have a mate who recons...
I would go for a collie for first time dog , I have collies , a kelpie and a hunterway all are spot on with my kids but they are introduced to them as pups so grow up with them , i got a kelpie as I was sick of all the Saturday afternoon dogs round hear and wanted a bit more all day power if...
I am over dogged hear but have 4 collies 1 kelpie and now a hunterway pup also usual have someone's dog in for training , since getting kelpie have noticed that the my collies don't nip as mutch as they use to ( would egg them on to get big mobs moving ) as the kelpie just gets on with it
Have had to make same call today had best fell dog broke his front leg ( my fault ring feeder dropped on him ) vet said roughly £300 to have it off or £450 ish to pin don't want it to bother home later on but vet says he is 99.9% sure it won't so Gona try and pin it , have a mate who's spaniel...
I have two 22lr but one mod ( ones a bolt and other is semi auto ) didn't get them at same time tho , tbh I don't use semi Mitch at all now , as for getting lots of spaces on your ticket it dosnt cost that Mutch and I think when you renew every 5 years you can and them on for free, there is a...
I use heiniger myself I feel they hold there grind better but they are dear have used Horner combs in the past nowt wrong with them there ok for the money without being rude if your only doing a few hundred you won't notice any difference
One of my better dogs was 3 when I got her last man said she was to fast and couldn't be broken how wrong he was , I usually don't bother Mutch with them until they are near a year old for proper training , depends on the dog and the handler tho
The key to shearing them is to do it as fast as you can to get it over with ;) Have always found them to be good combing tho oh and most old boys round here don't like it when you take the top knot off don't know why it make any difference
