    How to repair badger-trashed paddock?

Thanks for all the advice. Up to last winter, badgers hadn't been a problem to us since 2011. I want to repair the damage as I'm not worried about them damaging it again. I was kind of hoping that I could pay someone who does this kind of thing regularly to come in, harrow, weed kill and sew...

    How to repair badger-trashed paddock?

3 acres. It's bordered on three sides by fences of various conditions which are completely hidden by trees, nettles and brambles. The fourth side has no boundary as the fourth acre was sold by the former owners to the neighbour and no fence has been erected, yet. Correct, we have no collector...

    How to repair badger-trashed paddock?

There is too much area to do this by hand and there is no full-size vehicular access in to the paddock. We have the Husqvarna lawn tractor which has a tow hole in the back. So I should buy a rake, seeder and roller I can tow with this?

    How to repair badger-trashed paddock?

Hello, over the winter a badger trashed huge swathes of our paddock. We spend days carefully folding some of the turf back, but it's mostly died. The paddock now has lots of bare patches and divots. There have always been lots of weeds and the brow of the paddock has a lot of moss. I mow...

Help with erecting a stock-proof fence

Thanks for the tips. Did a google search and found this http://www.fence-line.co.uk/fences.html - need to decide on the style - probably round posts with 3 half round rails - but his website reads £9 a metre which seems expensive. We could add an electric wire when the missus finally decides to...

Help with erecting a stock-proof fence

I am absolutely not going to do this myself :) A computer I can build, but anything with wood or which requires digging, I will pass along. Did my back in years ago lifting power amplifiers up narrow flights of working mens' club stairs. Couldn't dig a grave for a mouse these days.

Help with erecting a stock-proof fence

Thanks all for your advice. I agree that we ought to do it properly and we want to do that. What is the cost of 'doing it properly' with post and rail with electric along the top LOL that would send the neighbours a message. Actually the wife has said that she wants it to do more than enclose...

Help with erecting a stock-proof fence

Hello folks, we're not farmers, but we are lucky enough to own 3 acres of a 4 acre paddock. An acre was sold off by the former owners but a dividing fence was never erected. We hope to get horses so we want to erect a stock-proof fence between our portion and the neighbour's. We will need a...
