Class are out today it's definitely the rotor bearings one has only got the races left. Fitter said you can't always hear it but to check the temp of the bearing cap from inside the grain tank after 30 min. Thanks to everyone for your help hopefully this will solve our problems

They don't seem to wrap anywhere I think it's just the friction of the crop going through the machine. We fitted the knife lotto the impeller two years ago but it doesn't seem to have made a difference. I did look at sunnybrook but I don't think they are that readily available in the uk
So to resurrect this thread we cut all our own beans last year about 100 acre with no problems (they were only short)

I bought some of this. The gray stuff? Aluminium complex, high temp stuff for baler it stays where you put it and does a good job. I was struggling with the pto getting hot and spitting all it's grease out put this stuff in and it's been great for about 4 maybe 5 years
Having broken up many concrete pads of varying thickness with and without mesh and also with fibers there is absolutely no replacement for mesh. In my mind even the cheapest mesh is better than top end fiber.
Mixed land sand at the top of the field and heavy clay towards the bottom to be fair it doesn't seem to matter on the soil type there is good and poor patches on both. Up until a month ago they looked very backwards and only 18 inch high.
