Would you use "TOTAL 15-40" engine oil on a tractor with 1500 hrs (100hp J.D 3rd service). J.D oil is £15/ 20lts more

Looked at the 5820, well finished, very very clean tractor but has a while wee cab [emoji107] Not 100% sure but I think the 5440 has the same model perkins as my 340CX Claas.

Yep, seem to not like a loader on her.

At 1000 hrs done an engine wreck after cam gear broke (bent push rods,damaged block etc etc etc !!!), local chap I know,his also done a wreck at 900hrs. Now 2000hrs later my one has sh!t herself again . Apparently, Claas hydraulic pump doesn't agree with the perkins 1104 cam shaft gear . I liked...

Bought a new Axos 340 and loader in 2010, 3100 hrs, going to change ( real heap of sh--t ) and I'm a claas man. Don't like the thought of buying new again or anything with ad blue, would like a MF (looking 5440) and a clean wee JD 5820.

I've a Protect 200 , dam good rammer, don't buy one unless swings around to side

Thanks folks, 1st year to use Urea, 50kg per acre on now, old folk believed it to be sore on land but fed up with poor results from compond sowed in April.

Is there any golden rules to the timing of Urea application.

Apparently some brands use the same bed as others,is their any truth in that.
