BT very helpfully sent out a 4g router so we could have some sort of internet. That was delayed by a week because someone at BT decided not to send it out for reasons unknown. Oh and also we don't get 4g in my house 🤐
I've had the same problem, the SQP was on holiday or something and they didn't have anyone to cover 🤷♂️
To be fair though on your second point that is what they are meant to do, not just dish it out willy nilly
