Not seen it done on a jd to be honest but I think if your sure you never want the other end I’d be cleaning it well in and out and then trying jb weld ,or try tacking it where you can with the welder and cooling immediately with a wet rag.bit severe on bearings etc though .try jb weld
Hydraulic capacity better than a std tractor for tipping and also with an extra tank you can upgrade the capacity .if your handy with the spanner’s might not be the worst thing,as you say mainly basic stuff and lots of spurious parts available -look at arms plant website to get an idea of prices...
Would it not depend if the accident was caused by your neglicence regardless of ticket or not?to mean that if it wasn’t a mechanical issue that caused the accident then surely loler would make no difference anyway.its often operator error

Yes I’ve bought no end of cummins bits from them on e bay,alm good in my opinion…any returns if I’ve bought incorrectly swiftly dealt with.very quick getting e bay orders out
Have you got really good hose clips on the rubber sections of pipe and really tight so you can’t turn the hose on the hose tail.it not your fighting a loosing battle to start with.can be hard to get good hose clips.may need stainless so they don’t strip and come loose
Did you remove the sender and check for a filter on the end of the stand pipe..if it’s blocked it will suck air terribly..j u st had similar with a cat with a Perkins in it.
