Love this thread but one chap thinks checking lambing ewes once a day is enough, despicable. I started off with flock off easycare ewes in ne scotland more than 20 years ago.

Not too wet here surprisingly, still a frost and there's still white patches. Used that zolvix fir first time on lambs a fortnight ago, what a difference despite the weather. Only feeding straight barley this year so been a few losses with acidosis however despite building up and rumen buffer...

local mill approach us to do it a few years back, wasnt enough premium to make it worth while. Cleaning out equipment wasnt enough either, wanted dedicated drier combine etc.

ive put out hay and silage been white nearly a full week and -15, they are certainly eating it. Doesnt take long so dont see why you wouldnt, dosing yesterday was bit chilly without waterproofs on.

We had chap appear that got stuck on farm road a few years ago and father went to see if he could drive it out before getting tractor. Dad reappeared in hysterics saying what an numpty, had gotten stuck and left engine running but was also still in gear 😮
