    Patchwork working width setup

Don't try to do it in 3m widths. I've mowed thousands of acres with a patchwork . I set it at 26m and go up every second width then ignore it till the next break . At 26 or even 52m you'll get everything in a slightly narrow mower width instead of trying to drive spot on and ending up missing a...

    Looking at new tractor

For your spine there's nothing will beat a fastrac . Just don't expect a new 1 to have the lugging power of your 3185.

Best value tractor. 40k to spend! Opinions please……

Trust me on this one you're better off with a 7020 series. Autopower would worry me less than other parts of a 7030

How many hours in a standard working day?

I'm employed and my normal hours are 7 till 5 half hour for dinner. Busy times I try to not work after 10 at night on a regular basis. But that weather dependent also could start a lot earlier to get something done due to weather but that's not a regular thing

Our ruts are still too wet to try the rolling the sides back in trick after 3 fert passes and the sprayer has been through most of it too . It's gonna be a rough ride with the baler this year in places.
