I would agree with that, but I think as well there’s good management and there’s hard to manage. It’s not uncommon to hear of replacement rates up on 50%, a quick look on Holstein uk on dams and Grandams of some the cogent bulls and its hard to find a cow that’s done any more than 3 lactations...

Would anyone agree that the type of cow that being bred on the majority of farms as well requires a lot more attention and management than people are willing to put in?. Now a days it seems common for men to have a nutritionist, foot trimmer, genus coming in to AI etc. Having efficient cows that...
