Dr Luke Evans MP, 'Buy British' initiative

'Buy British' but do NOT be conned into buying trash. I buy quality or better still Value for money items. I don't buy Nissan because German Skoda are simply better and I'm not going to be suckered into buying an unecessary seven seater quasquai. I certainly would not buy a modern Land Rover...

Where can I buy a sensible laptop?!

Look closely at 'Mac Mini'. You'll be hooked if you have any leanings towards apple systems. You don't need apple add-ons, you can add a keyboard and screen of your choice. SS

Whats going on with MVF ?

I used to visit ‘Parkers’ in a small industrial unit tucked away in Kingston Blount forty years ago. They weren’t really open to the general public except if you had a current account, then you could book items out. This was a fantastic place and they stocked all sorts of useful...

How much would it cost to buy and plant 3k or so trees?

@SoilHugger My friend has returned my request for more information with her thoughts on the matter. I don't want to burden her with asking Q's on your behalf as I think that you should do the leg-work for yourself as you have all the correct details on your parcel and that you are in Wales which...

    Some 4 wheel drive vehicles

I had a similar crossing in N Oz. Stopping the wheels from trying to flip the bike was hard work. Water right over the engine. I drained the carbie, refilled the sump with clean oil and continued my journey. Next river crossing was done in a big loader bucket, phew! SS

How much would it cost to buy and plant 3k or so trees?

Without grants you could easily plant 1000 PA, starting in November. 100 a week. Thats ten weeks or two and a half months. Pop job! Nov, Dec & half of Jan. For three years. So by year three you will have a mixed age plantation without the stress of doing it all in one hit, not forgetting the...
