    Main advice then is wait for it to get good and dry? Goes against what you think in these dry springs. It seems to be the seed thrown under the soil flap that struggles not the seed in the bottom of the slot.

    Yes the herbal lay will have spring to grow, i thought i might be able to get some weaned lambs at 12 weeks in may from a Feb lambing? Some good growers might be going in september and bulk go in october? will have arable cover crops and OSR to put the stragglers on into autumn

    Well we’re on 600 acres arable now, build it up over time I think would be sensible. one day I’d like to get to half and half arable and grazed herbal leys.
