How to set up your own RTK base station.. for about £300

Could be because it's not sending out a stable signal. They say on their site that if this happens your IP may be temporarily banned.

Anyone know a RTK2GO or centipede caster which works for John Deere mrtk?

Anyone know a RTK2GO or centipede caster which works for John Deere mrtk?

About 30km away - Yes I've tried connecting to that, but same problem, if you run that and can change it that would be perfect.

Anyone know a RTK2GO or centipede caster which works for John Deere mrtk?

Hi I'm just trying to get mrtk working on our starfire 6000 and before setting up our own base I want to know it's all working on someone elses. So does anyoke know of a RTK2GO or centipede base which works with johndeere. I've tried connecting to a few of them but the best I get is the orange...

How to set up your own RTK base station.. for about £300

Evening all this is a question the any John Deere mRTK users on this forum: Connecting to rtk2go or a personal base station, it used to be that in the DNS/IP section on the starfire modem page that you had to put in a DNS name which included the phrase "jdmrtk" in it. Is this the case or does a...

Trimble agGPS 542 export NTRIP TO SNIP

Once the JD receive is unlocked for JD mrtk, can I log into a server with an IP address for does JD still require DNS with "jdmrtk" within it?

Trimble agGPS 542 export NTRIP TO SNIP

Yep since talking I have had it communicating to RTK2GO, however I don't have an option to output RTCM only CMR and Omnistar. So I'm waiting to hear from Trimble for an option (I'm sure they will tell me I need an £££ unlock - in which case I'll do the base as discussed earlier).

Trimble agGPS 542 export NTRIP TO SNIP

Yes so I have all those parts, and the AgGPS is unlocked for RTCM as far as I can tell, how do I get it to send the correction data to a server like RTK2GO?

Trimble agGPS 542 export NTRIP TO SNIP

Ok great, no all 6000s and 7000s. Was that using SNIP?

Trimble agGPS 542 export NTRIP TO SNIP

So yes final thing, had any one had issues with this working with John Deere? Using JD 4g modem

Trimble agGPS 542 export NTRIP TO SNIP

Well I'm after something as simple as possible to set up, and the upfront cost isn't a huge issue, as long as it's reliable and suitable for commercial use.

Trimble agGPS 542 export NTRIP TO SNIP

And have people got this working happily with John Deere 4gRTK?

Trimble agGPS 542 export NTRIP TO SNIP

Ah ok, yes I was. So that f9p for free sends the correction data to a server or pc (if connected) effectively? So do I need the f9p and then the NTRIP master board with it?
  16. jpn

Trimble agGPS 542 export NTRIP TO SNIP

Right so with the f9p it looks like you have to pay for the corrections after a year? Our Trimble one just does the corrections for free, which is why ideally we would use that for the corrections - it's just a case of getting that to the server. (If I've understood properly)

Trimble agGPS 542 export NTRIP TO SNIP

Ok, thanks for your help I'll have a look into this.

Trimble agGPS 542 export NTRIP TO SNIP

Are these as accurate and repeatable (5 years) as the Trimble modules - it makes me a little nervous moving from a £3k controller to a £250 one!
  19. jpn

Trimble agGPS 542 export NTRIP TO SNIP

That's fine, but the only problem with that is that we need the Trimble for the radio RTK which is used by a number of other users...
