Fired the old girl up today. Ran a wire from battery to power-in on switch. Still at least one prob, tachometer not working and buzzer still sounding at about 25% normal volume. Didn’t try the hydraulics or putting into gear as everything was pulled apart and wires everywhere, plus it was...

Seeing as I don’t know the value of the current draw on heater. Could prob leave it disconnected, prob overkill for where I live in NSW Australia. Would like to know the cause tho

Just thinking I should disconnect wire to heater and add power to it via a fuse, start low and see what it takes to blow fuse?

am zeroing in on the prob, have identified where all but one wire goes from switch. Should be able to apply power to there to start her up and lift bucket to find the cause of no power to switch. Thing is, one of the wires from switch go to Thermostart which seem to be a fuel Pre heater for...

Now you mention it there is a no. 30 between 2 of the large pins ( my main suspect) which I believe is high current in on a relay. None of the other numbers match anyone other relay type numbers as far as I know ( like 85,86,87) could be a coincidence, but if im taking a guess, that’s a good...

I’ll have to work out which wire going to switch is supply wire. There are 4 thick wires, one thicker than the other 3. There is continuity ( when plugged into switch) between the thickest wire and one of the other thick wires, also. between the other 2 thick wires. Also 3 thinner wires plugging...

Ok, no power to ignition switch, haven’t found the 50a fuse near + battery terminal yet. If that was blown would I still have radio and lights ( Which are both working)?

Y no worries mate, wasn’t looking forward to battle with tachometer cable, the heater control cable is enough of a pain when trying to get the dash out.

On reflection, if my theory doesn’t pan out, the next step will be checking what’s going in and out of ignition switch anyway, same if it does. Should prob work out how to pull the dash with one hand without destroying anything first, to check ign switch first.

O Ok, did some investigating, there are 2 relays marked as ignition in position 1 & 4. ( been searching for owner manual for a month, found it today) there is power in to both relay sockets at all times. No output ( solenoid not activated with key on) Figure i will run a jumper cable from...

Yep charged battery, also hooked up second battery with jumper leads. Radio, 2 way and lights work ok, but no dash lights or buzzer when ignition on. It’s going to be tricky getting to anything on motor with the loader bucket down and the boom in the way. Will try and get dash out without...

Good to hear my theory confirmed. Will check out a couple other things suggested first. Main priority is not making things worse my tearing out the dash and fu*king up more sh!t. There are 2 screw connectors with a heap of wires in each feeding the dash near the heater switch, will try and avoid...

Yes, have mm and test light, replaced a few of the solenoids that I thought might be involved, with newbies. Even bought a relay tester ( rather than making one) and had time for it to come from China while pondering on next step. Checked for blown fuses with test light. Will have to try and...
