All I can say is that the system I bought (before EHR were dealers)has performed well and for the price bracket it is in - I am more than satisfied - mobile phone signal is the only problem we encounter- there can be black spots on certain fields or farms - picks up rtk quicker than my claas...
Have been charging silaging ( self propelled) out at a base rate - plus fuel at cost on day of job (fill up every night or after every job from metered bowser)for about 12 years, customers like it as always a couple of light fields- so use less fuel = cheaper per acre - just need to get the base...
Hi
I have allowed 1 guy to detect on my land he has always brought his finds to show me and I now have quite a collection of items - nothing very valuable- just interesting a couple of silver coins old buttons lead musket balls and various bit belonging to machinery from over the years !
It is...
I've got one - works well as stated very basic - I just wanted one for basic straight line jobs.I connect to rtk to go for corrections- super easy to fit and install (nowt wrong with my maize rows !)
Have a look at fj dynamics they use a steering wheel motor it seems very powerful - I have one on a arion 650 - works well - you cannot turn the wheel whilst it is steering- have to press the button on the screen to stop it though.
My maize coming up.
Update - now got it working will have to see how it performs I have just done a couple of short runs up and down then on one run I went 1/2 way and lifted up then came back down the same mark again 1/2 way - this was the result - looks promising.
I have one on trial at the moment - got it all fitted easy enough - currently having an issue with the RTK connection- but that may be from my own base station (agopen style supplied by Andreas Ortner )
Only does basic straight and curved a-b lines but looked very straight on power harrowed land...
In my experience measuring to the disc is fine but a good way - on run up field put a couple of sticks in ground right behind outside coulter 20 yards apart - then do same coming back down field (stopping before you get to sticks) see how sticks line up - modify markers accordingly- simples. Oh...
Used to have 3m reciprocating amazon power harrow with piggy back linkage and d8 drill behind JD 3040 2wd straight on to furrows - Ritchie steering press wheels and twin wheels on back - often wondered why we moved on from that to modern type as crops no better now !
Don't forget morris make bespoke to order and have options to fit to stop calves pushing through - call them on 01588 638 298 they can be quite helpful !.
Have you gone any further with this project ?? I was considering a front hopper for drilling and was wondering if it would also do fert for maize drill ?? Any thoughts gladly received!
I've not tested Andreas for his backup as yet but the aog forum is very good I had help with setting up the base station but I believe Andrea's does all the programming before hand - hoping to use my correction in my claas oem unit to save 700 per year !
