Washed all 3of ours out today just blast it out with water don't go inside don't know what your presumes like but will fill one tanker from the ditch and then use a 2inch pipe to blast it all out
I'm wish we don't have to wash out so often
Had a chat with them at the lamma show they will put what ever banger you want on them an they build the tracked units in house now so good support and service to go with it I would defiantly give them a call even if they just give you some tips brilliant firm IMO
Never mind the road time it's all about the stoping it yes I would say no matter what people will always travel at 50k but if you're going to travel that fast whether you carry 25t or 30t you need to be in a tractor that can handle it a new 7530 on air with a trailer on comical axels air brakes...
Personally I think a rise in weight is needed as the kit is getting bigger a clear set of rules such as if you wish to travel at 50k you trailers must have air brakes and commercial axels with abs to be honest I'm not sure on max weight as there is always going to be people pushing the limits...
Wasn't on the road was looking at weights of rigs plus what loads they carry having a few trailers in to see what has the best real world load capacity vs empty combination weight the sad thing about all this is if we put are 6430 on the front we would be legal on the road but I would seriously...
I would guess with front linkage +pto it's a good 7.5t full tank of fuel quickly adds weight was just a bit surprised at the lack of load weight when looking at weight of the whole unit but I suppose silage is bulky rather than weighty
Loaded up a 18 domex silage trailer today filled it to the guns with clamped maize properly filled when it went over the weigh bridge whole unit came in at 27.14 tipped it out weighed it again 14.780 so total load was 12.360 seems a very heavy unit to me with naff all in the trailer 7530 jd...
Jcb 535-95 loads of road work and Concret yard work barely sees mud she was doing a set of michelins about 2000 fronts were proper slicks rears about 15% left the 530-70 just shy of 3000 Tyers all round about 15% both do similar work both running the same Michelins
There's something about them I've gone back to a defender but really miss my disco je very good company never had any dealings with them other than dreaming of the Zulu they make
My old tuned disco covered 230000 miles did the head once and two water pumps in the time I owned it 120000 miles serviced it very 6000 ran beautifully the 10p engine in the earlier td5 was pants if your looking for a disco buy a 15p engined on watch out for the rear chassis legs as there rot...
I know of a tidy td5 disco but it dose need a new engine don't know how your mechanical skills are but I would say the trucks about 1800 and you could pick up an engine for around a 1000 don't know mileage or anything but if your interested I'll find out more
That's the problem good ones are few and far between if the one you looked at had sun roof that's where the water is coming from at a guess bad time of year to buy a 4x4 as all the school runners will be buying them for the snow :b
Td5 disco then big problem with them is engine the 10p in the earlier models is more prone to issues but my old one did 230000 with only the head gasket needing to be done easy job air compressors can be a problem and the air springs have a knack of getting a stone in the fold and puncturing...
