Farmers "Demand" a universal basic income

Yeah, that thread's got a bit "heavy" for me so I'm keeping out of it.🤣

It easy to think it won't stop raining, but a couple of years ago it seemed like it would never rain again, in fact this time last year was worryingly dry for the time of year, fert went on and sat there until it broke on the 8th of july, it can change overnight, just got to KBO

    Latest wellies updates??

Parcours iso insulated ones lasted the longest for me, 11 years, mind I wore them alongside a non insulated pair for 5ish years as I'm not a big fan of insulated wellies. Think the gaffer has the most fetching pair of wellies I've seen in a while

    Latest wellies updates??

Aigle here, lasted years and years, tried bekina, couldn't get on with the fit which was a pity as they seem good wellies, gone back to aigle now life's too short to be wearing uncomfortable wellies

The science, history & snobbery of BREAD

Sliced white bread is the devil as far as I'm concerned, I avoid it as much as I can and feel far better for it too.

    Bank of England

Both parties have abandoned manufacturing, a man can't pull himself up by his own boot laces, neither can a country, if they want economic growth they need to encourage productive industry not this never ending services circle jerk.

Lost work due to bad weather (a more regular occurrence?)

It'll turn round, I know it's rained since july but before that we had a few really dry winters, 2022 was as dry as a chip, 2023 was looking to be the same until the rain started, just hold on as best as you can in the mean time.

    Attracting employees in agriculture. (contracting)

I literally don't know what folk spend £50k a year on, went to the big smoke with the wife earlier looking for kitchen stuff for her sister, we're still using the same broken cast offs we were given when we got married years back, depends what you want out of life I guess.

    Attracting employees in agriculture. (contracting)

Trouble is nowadays it doesn't seem to matter how much you earn it's hardly seems enough to get on and improve your life, seems to be a general malaise floating about everywhere at the minute, a couple of weeks back the news was full of folk on £50k plus a year moaning they can't make ends meet...

    Cheap reliable chainsaw

I'd be surprised if he can't get the bits. I got disillusioned with the autotune on stihl, having been a stihl man for years, and bought a echo, it's really reliable but for me using it all day every day for 5 months I couldn't cope with the vibration, I've changed fuel and gone back to stihl...
