    Massey 6180 electrics

When my 6160 does this the only way I've found to sort it is turn it off, then turn the battery isolator off for 20 seconds, then turn the isolator back on.

    Massey 6160 Shuttle

Wondered if anyone had any thoughts about this? It did it again today, but this time the gearstick went stiff and was difficult to engage a gear. When it cleared itself the gearstick was OK again.

    Massey 6160 Shuttle

I have a 1998 Massey 6160 with the electronic pre select shuttle. Normally it behaves and works as it should, but recently it has been having a 'moment', and the back and forward lights flash alternatively with accompanying beeping. It will still travel in the direction that the shuttle has...

    Simple hydraulic problem!

The spool not working properly might be set to single acting. There is a screw on the spool slice where you put the pipes in that screws in and out, wind this the other way and it might well sort it

    Tractor fire

Good point about the radio, but it is an aging MF390 so the radio is intermittent at best and has to go some to be heard above all the noise [emoji1]

    Tractor fire

Thanks for that, I shall fit it to the negative. I had been struggling to work out how to fit it to the positive without running the risk of something shorting against it

    Tractor fire

I have a tractor that I need to fit an isolator to as it drains the battery. I had assumed that it would need to be fitted to the positive, but will it do the same job if fitted to the negative? It will be a lot easier fitting it to the negative

    Westwood Garden Tractor Brakes

Hopefully a Westwood Garden Tractor passes for machinery[emoji1] We have a Westwood T1300 which we use for various errands around the farm, but there is a distinct lack of brakes at the moment, when you push the pedal it declutched ok, just doesn't stop. Does anyone know how you or if you can...

    Cattle Brush

Can anybody tell me if the horizontal brush allows for different heights of cows? I like the idea of these but it would need to work for co-habiting dexters and Aberdeen Angus.

    fe 35

I am awaiting a lower outgoing month, but plan to get an Iskra starter for my fe35, if it is half as good as the one I have fitted to the 390 it will transform it ☺

Some good advice there! I will give it some hard work and see what happens, but longer term I think I owe it a rebuild as it's been a reliable tractor
