That is with the engine off which is very strange that one pedal works ok but the other pedal or both together go straight to the floor.

Small update on testing the brakes. When the two brake pedals are connected together they go to the floor. Separate them and right peddle goes to the floor but left peddle works as it should. This would indicate that there is some issue around the pedal box/master cylinder part of the brake...

Hi, My brother is going to split the engine and transmission on a Valtra T161 as there is oil leaking most likely from the crank shaft seal. As this is the first time this is being done, are there any hidden gotchas or issues that he might run into doing the job? Regards Tom

OK, Some further testing done. Measured the pressure at the outlet of the pump and measured 150ps. Measured again at the test port and got 50psi. Removed the oil filter and the pressure out of the pump dropped to around 60psi, raising a bit when engine revved but nothing much. From this is...

Small update. The Rexroth pump was removed from the tractor and opened to find that one of the saddle bearings on the squash plate was damaged / partially missing. Not sure where the missing pieces have gone to :) I will send on a photo of the bearing later

I checked and the pump on the tractor is a Rexroth pump with a John Deere tag. Is there any adjustment on these pumps?
