    Noble foods free range

No feed link unchanged I believe . But the feed link was reduced not si long ago a lot of producers either didn't re sign on to it or took a big hit at the time. Crazy that noble still paying new shed bonus and taking on new producers. Almost feels like they are quite happy with over supplied...

Noble just dropped price for mediums by 7p. Seems unbelievable people even considering getting in to the egg job right now.

    Noble foods free range

Yes. Just get your figures nailed down. Feed @270 pullets @4.10 whatever egg price they offer. If it looks ok good luck to you. We are packing in but some can make it work at these prices. Be wary of the predicted egg numbers they tell you is possible. Just too much risk from my side of the...

Do you let your young children on the tractor?

Don't want to be too flippant about something so serious but kids in the house all day to my mind isn't the best thing. Too many fat kids nowadays sat around playing computer games ending up with all sorts of health problems. Very few kids get hurt in modern tractors. Still each to their own.

    Combinables Price Tracker

Yes he can, but he's probably not a huge feed wheat buyer anyway. Point is even at unaffordable levels demand might not fall off as fast as you think it might.

    Combinables Price Tracker

True, but for the guys who have just spent £35/bird on a brand new shed of 32 000, and quarterly mortgage payments of £35000 there's no choice but to keep buying feed wheat at any cost. This probably applies to a lot of livestock sectors at the moment.

    Contract farming agreement

Brisel, surely management is only sitting around d the office for a couple of hours a week chewing the cud over "what variety shall we grow next year" while sipping coffee. Can't cost that much!!

    Contract farming agreement

£150/ac/yr sounds on the low side to be being capped at. What do local fbt s fetch? This should be a base as to where farmer earning. Maybe the land just not good enough for two of you to be making a draw on it ?

I have to agree with most of that. Here's the snag, general public and supermarkets don't want barn egg they want free range egg.

    NFU Brexit

Some but not all. I voted leave to have our government choose who comes here not reduce who comes here. Though most of us who voted leave are too thick to understand what we voted for supposedly!

    NFU Brexit

I'm fairly sure if low skilled migration is what you believe is required in order that the nhs should avoid being crippled then there are rather a lot of willing people outside of the EU. Migration is essential for the future development of our country I simply don't believe that low skilled...

    NFU Brexit

I'm afraid the bit in there about the loss of migrant workers crippling the nhs is such a load of rubbish it just makes me laugh. Having spent quite some time over the past 12 months in and out of has pita for various reasons I have yet to meet a European doctor or nurse but I have encountered...

Egg packer in receivership. Edit-Blackdowns hills. West country eggs

No different to any other modern day farming. Public probably think dairy cows are in herds no more than a dozen milked by some bloke chewing straw. Doesn't make a dairy farm some kind of scam.
