It’s that long ago since I was out in NZ but had an Arctic with a trailer on a dolly behind it that was a fun thing to manoeuvre backwards, thankfully I didn’t need to very often!
Will go much better at 10” and as you say easiest way is to put front leg inside beam. I’ve attached a picture highlighting part of the beam that needs removed to give you the required movement of the crosshaft for finishing as well.
They don’t ware evenly across the machine most I’ve changed at once was 10 and doesn’t take long with a buzz gun. It came to us second hand a couple of years old with all its original points on it, we’ve done around 2000 acres with it and the back two rows will be lucky if they are half worn...
We had same problem with our carrier last year, had a demo of a 6m Horsch Cruiser and have bought a 10m one it’s a fantastic bit of kit and surprisingly for a tine cultivator doesn’t bring up many stones. It’s had all conditions to deal with this year and can’t fault it. Only thing to be made...

Had a bit shower this morning combine went out about 1ish. Sky has looked dodgy to the west most of the day and lost sight of the cheviots a few times!
