That brings back memories of driving to theRoyal Show and also my college placement. Worked near Nuneaton and went that way to get home. Always had a look at the tractors as i went past.

I’ve also been a farmer member for years. I still use an independent agronomist as i don’t have the time to keep up with everything but like to keep BASIS/FACTS up to date.

I think it’s because they know the mix just won’t be up to the usual standard. There’s definitely an air of depression over the barns when the JD is there.

Given that i am 12 months into planning for a lagoon which is being entirely held up by natural england. And i know that the success rate of the grant is poor to say the least. My own advice would be to get yourself legal without touching a grant if you can.

Went to a csf meeting a couple of weeks ago. One bit of advice was not to use agents as they were charging far too much. CSF are free and should be able to help a lot.
