I had a bull several years ago that threw massive calves, most of them backwards. As a farm we’ve always fed cows on the generous side (despite my protestations) so the cows couldn’t calve them.
I sold the bull to another farm (told him the problems) and he took the risk.
His cows are like hat...
Went on a stag there about ten years plus ago. Had a mate who was obsessed with the show at the time so he booked us into that hotel(flamingo or oasis? Something like that) was a cracking weekend
I found when we were Severn Trent then they allowed 3 leaks in a 15 year period.
Now we are waterplus we have to pay, whatever the cost. They have no interest in helping the customer

Does anyone in south Shropshire have 2 tonnes of spring barley in 500kg bags that I can feed to the cattle this September?
2 tonnes required now for storage reasons.
Thanks
You need basis for farm assurance (different argument) but also I think agronomy is enough of a science that CPD is acceptable.
like I said, to do own farm you only need 20 (although speak to them first)
I’ve been on the 20 point plan for years
Unless you are an agronomist cropwalking other peoples land, why do you need 50?
I just do my own land and collect 20.
If I ever decide to walk someone else’s I can inform them and increase to 50
I would say you’ve done your bit.
I’ve been on the receiving end of heifers being accidentally in calf and it’s not pleasant, particularly when you’ve bought them at 8 months old.
However in your situation above, you offered to rectify and he chose to take the risk.
I did it through our sandstone farmhouse wall.
Sometimes it’s easier to do it in stages, rather than do it all at once. Core and stone gets warm. With the sandstone it became really tricky to drill. Left it for 12 hours, no problems
