Permitted Development Rights- Caravans vs Steel building for temp agricultural workers

Yep. I thought it might be a quick solution if the LA has already been challenged on it and lost. But it looks like I would have to be the first to challenge it.

Permitted Development Rights- Caravans vs Steel building for temp agricultural workers

Hi, thanks for reply. I did a quick phone call to local authority, they said it must be an agricultural building, used for agricultural, on agricultural land... I said that is correct, that is what seasonal worker accommodation is. They said no it doesn't cover accommodation. I said, where...

Permitted Development Rights- Caravans vs Steel building for temp agricultural workers

Hi, I was planning a Prior Notification application for Permitted Development Rights to my local council, when it occurred to me that I could include a steel and metal sheet building that could be used for seasonal workers. I was going to put wooden chalets (as they come under the government...

Best Decision For Quicke no.3 Headstock/Brackets for Quicke 540 Loader

Are these the ones that are not an exact fit and need adapted or welded on to work on a 540 quicke loader. I guess they can fit all loaders.

Best Decision For Quicke no.3 Headstock/Brackets for Quicke 540 Loader

Yes, I was worried about the welding on of a euro 8 plate from ebay... if it wasn't just right it would always be a pain. There seems to be lots of euro 8 attachments around. Yes no attachments as yet. Just the tractor lol.

Best Decision For Quicke no.3 Headstock/Brackets for Quicke 540 Loader

This is the headstock that is on it. It just looks like quicke No.3 to me. Pins are a bit loose.

Best Decision For Quicke no.3 Headstock/Brackets for Quicke 540 Loader

I guessing, from a previous comment, that the best place to start would be the quicke dealer, for the euro combi 3,8 trima? If anyone else has a good contact for these euro combi headstock, it would be great to know.

OK not seen that, will look into it. I am guessing it needs to be welded on?

Best Decision For Quicke no.3 Headstock/Brackets for Quicke 540 Loader

I've not seen headstock that does both (i quess it would have to be welded on). There is the adapter plate that allows you to do both. From memory Taylor attachments will do the plate for around £750. But the plate will be min 4inch thick and will reduce performance.

Best Decision For Quicke no.3 Headstock/Brackets for Quicke 540 Loader

Issue- I have a tractor with a Quicke 540 loader, with Quicke No.3 headstock, arriving soon. I've looked hard but can't seem to find used attachment for Quicke No3 (bucket, forks). There seems to be lots for Quicke Euro 8. The question is what is the best thing to do? 1/ keep Quicke no.3...

New (to me) Tractor Decision Time: which option? Package with a Loader or buy better Tractor Now and Loader later?

Just a wee update to say that the end result was a John Deere 6200 with a loader. Got it within budget but needs a tidy up and some basic mechanics. Thanks for all your input on that important topic 👍.

New (to me) Tractor Decision Time: which option? Package with a Loader or buy better Tractor Now and Loader later?

Yes I have an old manitou forklift just now but if it ever breaks down I'll be stuck. Any time i try to take the 'rough' terrain forklift into a field it gets stuck. I'll need to move bales and loose materials at some point across fields. But I am happy to get the best tractor now and get a...

New (to me) Tractor Decision Time: which option? Package with a Loader or buy better Tractor Now and Loader later?

Hi, I tried to keep the info simple as tractor discussions can be quite wide-ranging. I heard the rear mounted forklift was a pain to use but I've never used one. I would need a bucket at some point to move material as there is a lot of building work going on and will be for a while.

New (to me) Tractor Decision Time: which option? Package with a Loader or buy better Tractor Now and Loader later?

Just to say a quick look at loaders by themselves were around £4-5 k. So yes expensive afterthought.

New (to me) Tractor Decision Time: which option? Package with a Loader or buy better Tractor Now and Loader later?

I should have said does a JD 6200 works better than New Holland TL90 as a loader tractor?

New (to me) Tractor Decision Time: which option? Package with a Loader or buy better Tractor Now and Loader later?

Thanks. Yes I had looked at them but I had ruled them out as my budget meant getting a tractor with 12/13000 miles on it rather than a MF/ ford/ case/ New Holland with 6/7000 on it. I don't know if that's a huge consideration or not. Do you know if a JD 6200 handles better than a New Holland...
