    Extended warranty?

Find out if it's an insurance based warranty or an extension of the manufacturer backed base warranty, the latter being much better. If you expect to run the tractor over the base warranty isn't it a no brainer? £7,500 won't get you far on a big breakdown.

    Will Putin invade ?

Doubt it. I see his point, though regarding NATO on his doorstep. Doubt the Americans would be too happy if the Mexicans were looking to join a Russian backed defence group. Get the feeling the media are desperate for some action, sickening really.

Getting a BT phone line buried due to constant damage

Asking this as getting to the end of my tether. My phone line comes in from the road through a neighbours smallholding and finally to me at the end of the line. The neighbours smallholding is essentially just woodland, and the wire is constantly being chafed by branches or just wiped out by...

    Case puma

From experience found them generally reliable, if not the most comfortable tractor out there. Most problems have been niggly, PTO sensors, starter relays and needing gearbox calibrations.

Lets make tractors safer on the roads...advice please

Personally wouldn't go plastering the rear of kit with LEDs, distracts from the important flashing bit (the indicator). Followed a cultivator the other day that had a pair of LEDs on a random flash pattern on the back, would have been a job to notice an indicator in all the flashing. I'd just...

Renting out smallholding/ land & barn

Unfortunately horsey folk aren't too keen on a DIY basis as the only access is via the busy 'A' road so there is no hacking available, there is a quieter access but I only have ag access over that. I don't have a figure in mind, but I need to maximise it really. £5k/year would cover my home...

Renting out smallholding/ land & barn

If this isn't in the right section, please feel free to move! I've got a little smallholding consisting of approx 10 acres in two partially fenced paddocks, and a 30x45' fairly modern barn, boarded on three sides and one open side. Lit, electric plugs and could very easily be watered. Quite...

    Nightmares

Night Nurse can give nightmares so maybe avoid that if you look for something to knock you out! Worst I had was about 8 years ago, it was so vivid and I can still remember every single little detail today, which is odd as they're normally forgotten pretty quickly after the event. Long and...

    Introduce Yourself

Afternoon from gloomy Kent! Lurked for a while and seeing as my housemate seems to spend all evening browsing here I thought I'd join in... Been working on an arable farm since graduating with an Agri-bus degree, but having recently hit 30 I decided I'd like something more than full time...
