[QUOTE="sahara, post: 6109658, member: 76228"] Hi Nick, From what you are saying it seams that the variability is in the fert. On our fert spreader (Vicon) we have to do a calibration test when we have a new type of fert to use. We use lots of Yara's Axan and so keep the calibration values from year to year and then just enter them into the spreader control box when we next want to spread Axan. (Even though the opps book says to do a test on each new batch of the same product) However over the time we have had the machine we have had to redo the calibration test at least twice because of the spreader under or over dosing. As soon as we put the new values back into the machine then its back to being spot on again. I don't know if this helps you, but if your tractor/machine settings are constant then the only other variable is the fert, you could look to see if its all the same batch, and if not try a bit from another batch maybe?
