Time to debate it? What have they been doing then for the past 3 years? The deal is sealed with the EU and Eire. Parliament really thinks its a credible option to change it unilaterally yet again? Its been thrashed out and done to death over 3 years in parliament. Its Mrs Mays deal with a few tweaks and improvements designed to satisfy the objections that were raised in parliament. Its already been agreed with the EU. Boris has already gained agreement from other heads of state that its an acceptable way forward. What more can parliament add to it unilaterally without the whole thing then having to be rediscussed with all the external parties to it. Parliament has had three years to make amendments and raise concerns. Boris has forged a deal with these concerns in mind. Surely parliament should know the deal inside out by now or have they not been paying attention. The time for debate is over. Parliament now needs to get on and approve the deal or come up with a means of revoking article 50 that will get through parliament. Not just airy fairy divided opinions but a concrete way forward with hard dates and milestones. We have business decisions to make. I might buy some cattle on Thursday. I need to know whether there will be an export market for beef from 1st November or whether we will be facing imports under WTO.
