well heres another update. Taken today. Its amazing how far its come on since the last pictures. There is a down side which has been a shame. On the far side of the field there`s a patch that has been damaged by slugs through the winter and latterly been hit also by those damned leather jackets. Anyway I drilled some more seed in the area about a fortnight ago ( as i had a bit left ) and its coming through well . The extent of leather jackets is now becoming clear and i sprayed dursban on the effected area last night and early this morning at a very high water volume and hope to get a drop of rain here over night to wash it in. There are some patches in the low areas of the field which i treated too and i hope i have checked the problem. Its quite annoying or maybe lucky that the areas effected arent in the areas i have pictured through the season but it is visible in the far side of this latest picture. I will post pics of the troubled area when i can bring myself to photo it. Its true to say that looking at the crop to regularly doesnt give a contrast of progress and i am now amazed by the diference from the last pictures i took. My fingers are now crossed for the damaged area and I must try not to go and look at it every hour.
