I have read Jules Serkin on and off (the BBC Radio Kent presenter in the video posted by @oval in post no. 4,969) since she was pointed out by my friend whose true diagnosis came about from her own reaction to a covid vaccine. Jules Serkin has been vocal in social media. She is having a really rough time with what reads like ME/CFS. From her reports, she considers that her immune system overreacted to a small, measured dose of AZ vaccine. It doesn't bear thinking of what an encouter with the variant of covid that was dominant when she was vaccinated might have done to her, or worse, a more virulent variant. Her story has been covered in printed and broadcast media ~ albeit not in the guns blazing manner she might wish for. Effects of covid vaccination on women's health is discussed on the BBC. It's revisited quite regularly. Woman's Hour has covered it in the last two years, also talking about women and ME/CFS in the context of long covid. Women aren't just small men. Our health needs are different, so it is important analyse all medication in a female context. It might be a useful idea for BBC and ITV to interview her in order to help a wider audience understand how her weakness and current situation appears to be being manipulated/permitted to drift towards an antivax agenda. The GBN Interviewer in the video, although clearly sympathetic to Mr Serkin, made very sure she dissed her employer, didn't he. Her citing Jeremy Whine of all people as somehow indicative of a cross-media collusion to hush up aftereffects of having a vaccination is played right into GBN's Beeb-bashing agenda. What is GBN other than media, despite his attempts to elide it? I do sympathise with her, and wish her a speedy recovery.
