Every year, cereal pathogen experts Jonathan Blake of ADAS and SRUC’s Prof Fiona Burnett have taken a whistle-stop tour of the UK to assess the state of the nation’s cereal crops in an initiative supported by Bayer. They’ve reported on the fungal priorities that face Britain’s growers as they strive to bring healthy crops to harvest. This year, COVID-19 may have grounded the helicopter, but it hasn’t quelled the quest.
