Went down like sack of spuds and struck the earth, before knowing what had happened! Last Sunday, having observed how the hot wet weather had driven the gardens on a pace, I decided to bring them under full control and smarten them up a bit. I filled bag after bag with weeds, grass cuttings, and prunings. Functioning almost on auto-pilot I allowed my mind to wonder onto a matter not at hand and in doing so totally forgot two broken pieces of paving that I had moved and stood on end, slightly off to one side of the path. Secateurs in hand, I marched up the path intent on attacking one more invader …..when...……….the whole world cam to a halt and I found my self face down on the ground and wondering what the hell had happened. Nothing broken, fortunately, but a whole load of bruises, aches, and pains to contend with. Quite an object lesson in keeping one's mind on the job at hand; not an easy thing to do if one is anxious, worried, or depressed. Chris (y)(y)
