Don’t scrimp on calcium fertiliser. For juice only, Falstaff or Red Falstaff as it is quite attractive for sales too. The fruit can get big, but it makes picking faster! Egremont Russet makes cracking juice but yield less than other varieties. Worcester Pearmain for another early, but Bogeeevil has a good list, but I agree avoid Cox, Gala, Braeburn. Bramley is underrated as a juicer - yields well too.</blockquote>
