We have a few krone mowers, we bought this 10'6'' trailed mower new, in 2015, it has done a fair few acres but the triples have taken over most of the work the past few years. Long story short, when changing a module bearing we noticed play in the back idler gear so we took out all the modules and some idlers were worse than others but 90% all had play. And yes the bed oil is changed annually. So we stripped out the bed and thought it was just a matter of popping out the bearings and replacing them. It turns out Krone don't sell the bearing as a separate part, you have to buy the bearing enclosed in the gear even though the gear is perfect. (£££££) The bearing has a wire type ring that holds it in the gear meaning the bearing has to be cut out as the ring won't let it be pressed out. The krone dealer has been very proactive trying to source bearings for it but so far with no luck as they don't seem to be that common. What I'm wondering is has anybody else had similar problems, or more importantly, found a replica bearing a locking ring? It's fairly annoying as we've had a lot of different brands of mowers over the years contracting, and never once had to touch the idler bearings. Thanks in advance.
