I can certainly give you my opinion on it, but do remember, I work for a McCormick dealer so take it as you will. It has the same gutsy and reliable 4.5ltr 4 cylinder FPT engine as before so can't see any issues with this. The new Argo P6 transmission is a big step up from the previous HML transmission used in the previous X6 range. It speed matches insanely well and the auto function is great. Only gripe is in 3rd gear the stick is a bit of a stretch, but you can change the splits on the Joystick so you don't need to reach for it other than to change gear. New cab is much better for visibility. Brilliant for a loader tractor. Having a Cat III linkage instead of the previous Cat II is much better as it now really is a replacement for the old MC range. It's very compact and maneuverable. Exhaust brake and 4 speed pto are now standard as on the X7 range. You've the option of the carraro independently suspended front axle for great comfort. This range should make an ideal front line tractor for small / medium enterprises, especially combined with a loader, or a very capable smaller tractor on a medium/ large unit. Have I sold one yet, no. Is it a cheap tractor, no. Am I still battling like mad to get people to even consider a McCormick, yes. However, I've definitely found over the last 12 months that interest in them is increasing. More and more people are asking questions about them. My hope is that this is the beginning of a rise in numbers as there really is nothing wrong with these machines and I think they deserve a much higher market share than they currently have. The biggest problem with them by a mile is perception, a very hard thing to change.
