The larger impeller is close to the limit for the 2500 pto. I always suggest to contractors or busy stirrers that they have a 2600 series pto. The downside is the doubling in the price of the pto. It is essential to use Walterscheid replacement U/J's as cheap ones are a waste of time. These impellers do deliver 150hp - thus they are quicker than coventional single stage impellers and leave pumps for dead! The malgar type impellers cavitate - create a vacuum - if more than 80hp is supplied. When stirring at depth (sand - sediment etc) the impeller takes more power so the U/J's are more bent and under full load. Again, I recommend the smaller impeller in these situations. With conventional stirring of crust at say two feet depth, the air entrainment reduces the power requirement and the angle is lower so the 2500 is ok. Finally, to totally bore you, the U/J's MUST be equally bent to extend their life and give smooth running - better for the tractor. The 3m extension frame with pto and ram is £1900 DELIVERED. This is expensive to send as it is classed as 3 pallets.
