As the plough gets bigger, longer and heavier, it goes into equilibrium, then tension hence the use of chains instead of rigid top links on some of the larger reversibles. </p><p></p><p>One for you now Rick...how long is the hedge (including any gates or gaps where the bottery bushes choked the thorns) around a perfectly square 40 acre field, round it up if you so desire otherwise yards feet & inches will do. Furthermore what is the acreage of an 18yd headland around said field, rounded up, in sq yds or acres?</p></blockquote><p></p>
