Got a knight self propelled sprayer, with an irregular starting problem which has developed into a not starting issue. Its a 6 cylinder perkins , with a electronically controlled, variable pressure fuel pump. Not common rail. Up to now we have replaced the lift pump, which was leaking and needed a new diaphram. Replaced the fuel pump which was my shout, because after talking to a few people in the know, seemed to be the answer. ECU checked out at David King Electronics, its fine. Voltage surge protection unit tested because the wiring diagram suggested all current went through it , and a faulty unit could stop power getting to the fuel pump. Its fine. A brief history of not starting immediately and then after a little attention including battery charging , jump starting with a starter pack and last resort bleeding at the injectors, would always result in starting and running fine until job completed. Once started to fill sprayer and then stopped 30 mins later after backing out of filling bay, and started after some of the above. Last time did the same again, never started since. I am running out of ideas. Knight have attended once and isollated all harness other than the engine and said it was deffo an engine issue. Any help , no matter how complex or basic. Thanks S
