Don't worry! The digital examination is a bit embarassing but I diverted my attention by thinking of the poor doctor! Your problems are probably just an enlarged prostate. You can score your own symptoms here (and I'd suggest all males reading this should do likewise): http://www.urospec.com/uro/Forms/ipss.pdf In the unlilkely event that you have prostate cancer, it is the best form of cancer to get, if you have to have it, as it is neatly packaged and unlikely to spread unless neglected. I've had two ops for enlarged prostate by green light laser surgery. I was the 35th person to have this in the UK but had to go back a few years later for a repeat as measurements left to a local urologist weren't done correctly. This surgery is now available at a number of hospitals throughout the country and involves no more than a couple of days in hospital. In the USA, it is an out patient procedure. Nothing much to worry about, just don't neglect to get it looked at asap. I also think there will be a waiting list for surgery so another reason not to wait. Sorry, can't help with the back as I have one too. Just take it easy and let the youngsters do the lifting!
