Well, I can think of more pleasant ways to spend an afternoon, but am mightily relieved it's over and done with and, pending blood test results, all is clear. :) Two things I am happy to share with anyone contemplating such an examination: 1) it is nowhere near as unpleasant as the Army medicals of the 1980s, because... 2) there is now time for lubricant :joyful: Joking apart, things in life are rarely as good or as bad as we anticipate and, as @Dry Rot wrote, the examination is nothing to be worried about. I've been in potentially fatal situations a few times over the years and I'm not in the least scared of being dead. But this time I had Mrs Danllan and my children... and the thought of not seeing them grow up, well, I can't think of anything more sad or horrible than that. The moral is gents, if you have a doubt, get a check up - if you think it can wait, hmm, just take a squint at your loved ones and think about them never being able to see you again. Many thanks to all who have posted, if anyone wants to chat about this subject away from the public eye, send me a PM. (y)
