Just been diagnosed with it a month ago. in june i went on a stag night for a friends son, after a long nights drinking i got home and couldnt pee. Went to a&e and had a catheter put in for a week. doc there did finger test and couldnt feel anything wrong other than enlarged prostate. Went to see my own gp day after and they did psa blood test. Week later got letter from hospital to see urologist, got finger test again and again couldnt feel anything wrong other than enlarged prostate. another blood test and psa was still higher so got sent for mri scan. Results came back and still nothing showing but specialist said they would have another closer look!. Next thing i got an appointment for a biopsy where i was told there was a couple of bits they wanted to look closer at. Went to get results for biopsy to be told i had prostate cancer but it was at a very very early stage. Waiting now for an appointment with oncologist to see about treatment which is either surgery to remove prostate or hormone treatment for 3 month then radiotherapy for 4week. What a choice!. Would now recommend anybody to go and get a psa blood test done
