Afternoon all, Due to circumstances we have decided to replace the tyres on our 20 year old MF6290. It was on Michelin XM108, 650/65/R38 rears and 540/65/R28 fronts. Great tyres in my opinion. Now our front-line tractor, an MF7480 is on identically sized Multibibs, 60% worn. Again decent tyres, but an upgrade is worth considering. I think this presents me with 3 options: A) Swap the Multibibs onto the 6290 and get some fresh rubber on the 7480 B) New XM108s on the 6290 C) Cheapo tyres on the 6290 Which option would you choose? The workload of the 6290 is about 50% road and 50% top work such as rolling, occasional stubble raking, and backup drilling. Low ground pressure is very important to us, which I think rules out option C. If option A, what tyres for the 7480? I like the idea of Xeobibs, but a new set of rims is out of the question. Do you really need the special rims for them? Any soil- and wallet-friendly tyres that are worth looking at, to put directly on the 6290?
