I bought my sunbeam suregrip new in the mid eighties and he has never been took apart, I wouldn't say hes been over used mind but of course oiled frequently which is partof the job goes without saying. He actually vibrated fairly well from new , some vibration can come from flexidrive shafts tho it's worth noting. Cutters and combs need sharpening possibly after as little as half a dozen sheep if they are hard going or takes a long time relativly speaking, no one really tells you that...cutters and combs as well not just cutters changed. Take some trouble over adding tension as well , learn how much, get the feel of what it needs until it gets blunt, and dont go beyond that, else he will deff. Get hot, then the sheep get more restless. If you have to take them to someone else for sharpening, you will need a lot of them to keep going for awhile iyswim, unavoidable really unless you can sharpen them yourself. Ive said it before but Mains machine is better if your near 24ov as well, 2nd hand checked over by electrician three speed lister or nexus on set on the middle speed would be ideal right from the start no faffng with batteries ..... Just use a breaker.
